CSD+i

The Higher Sports Council needed to undertake a process of transformation and innovation.

A transformation for both the organisation and the entire sports ecosystem. To achieve this, an analysis of the current situation was proposed, the results of which would help establish a vision and define a strategy and action plan to ensure the transition toward innovation and digitalization. The aim was to identify processes, mechanisms, and tools that would facilitate transformation and change, involving CSD employees as well as other stakeholders in the ecosystem.

To achieve these objectives, at Barrabés.biz we began designing an innovation model, a training and cultural change model, and the development of an innovation hub. Implementing these efforts involved activating other necessary tools, such as developing technological platforms, workshops and training activities, networking events, trend research and analysis, pilot development, calls for innovative solutions, defining technological needs, mapping challenges with stakeholders, developing innovative idea processes, digital acceleration for sports federations, among others.

An innovation model, a training and cultural change model, and an innovation hub.

Barrabés.biz successfully defined an innovation model for the CSD, enabling the design of a technological stack comprising platforms, tools, and infrastructure required for the coming years. Additionally, cultural change was fostered among employees and key ecosystem actors such as federations, coaches, and athletes. A community was also created and developed, bringing together private sector companies and stakeholders who collaborated and connected with entrepreneurs, academics, and federations. Together, they promoted the transformation of Spanish sports through innovation.
