Due to the diversity of operators in transport services, the commitment to sustainability and intermodality as a tangible challenge, from Barrabés.biz we made a proposal for the design and management of a sustainable urban mobility hub. The design included the participation of multiple actors who, through public-private collaboration, could launch challenges to the entrepreneurial community to develop pilots to be tested in the capital to be scaled to cities around the world. One of the most relevant collaboration agreements was with the Israeli CityZone, a world reference as a mobility sandbox.
Madrid in Motion had several editions in which numerous corporations joined the Madrid City Council to integrate the hub. These included organisations whose core business is closely related to mobility and others that, despite not having this activity at the centre of their operations, wished to participate in the initiative. Clients such as Banco Santander, Natury, Ferrovial, Iberdrola, Cepsa, Repsol, Mastercard, Hochtief and IBM presented innovation challenges to startups from all over the world. Many of them, from countries such as Israel, Brazil, UK or Spain, co-created pilots with corporations to find solutions to the challenges of cities, always putting the citizen at the centre.
